I've got a court date later this month. I figure I'm not supposed to wear jeans and stuff, but how dressy is it? Are we talking dress? Heels? Pantyhose? *shudders at thought*

If anyone has done this recently, I'd appreciate a heads-up.

That depends to some extent on which judge you have. Normally, I would advise my clients to wear what used to be called "church clothes" or "Sunday Best". No jeans, no flip-flops, everything clean and pressed. Cover any visible tattoos or piercings (other than regular earrings for ladies).

I do know a judge in Denton County that requires all men to wear ties, and all ladies to wear pantyhose (if they're wearing a skirt/dress). Ask your attorney - if you have one - about your particular judge.
